Zimba Marimba Band Association and African Music United welcome you to our 2010 SUMMER CAMP 10-14 August Varbergs Kulturskola, Sweden Zimba Marimba’s Summer Camp 2010 at Varbergs Culture school on the West Coast of Sweden is open to all marimba players, drummers and dancers. Come and learn more about the wonderful music of Zimbabwe and West Africa from the teachers specially chosen for this event. Teachers and students from Sweden, Norway, Iceland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Guinea Conakry, Gambia and USA are coming, so come and join in! We’ll be focusing on learning more about marimba, dance and drumming from our great teachers, and ofcourse enjoying ourselves in the beautiful town of Varberg. Lots of workshops and concerts, long sunlit evenings at the beach and time to meet new friends. Our last Summer Camp was a great success with 160 participants. COST: 1800 SEK -includes accomodation in a nearby konferencecenter, food (3 simple meals a day will be served) and workshops.
