Reminder; Drumcircle in Stockholm 17th of July

Dear rythm lovers, I would like to remind you about the Community Drumcircle in Stockholm 17th of July from 18:00 - 20:00, facilitated by Mikael Khei. Venue: Dansdojon, Kammakargatan 5. Price SEK 150. Children accompanied by adults SEK 50. Instruments are available, but feel free to bring your own drum and/or percussion instrument of any kind. I appreciate if you register in advance, but this is not necessary.

This drumcircle is all about creating "in the moment" music together and the joy and ecstatic feeling that follow from that. The quality of the drumcircle is more influenced by the participant´s ability to be present and their acknowledging of each other than it is of their musical experience. This kind of drumcircle unites people regardless of their background, race, gender, age or social class.

"Any time a group of people come together and cooperate in creating an interactive, experiential musical event, they mak! e connections beyond the music produced. In doing so, their community is strengthened and the world is a better place to live in." Arthur Hull.

Everyone will participate in this music that will change between the calm and peaceful and the "FULL ON" ecstatic drumming. My job as your Drum Circle Facilitator is to help you to keep focus on the elements that supports your music and groove. To help you to hear and to identify what is good and exiting in your own and the circles cooperation. I have a "bag" full of tricks and techniques that I will use to fulfil this mission. When the music is groovy I will sit down and play with you and when we are heading towards a "musical train wreck" I will jump into the circle and save us all by leading the music into a new direction that keeps the magic alive.

This Thursday evening will be good in it self. However it will also be an excellent introduction to a playshop (yes it´s a "play" shop) I arrange with Arthur Hull in Oslo 26th - 28th of September this autumn with the title:" Community Building Through Rhythm."

If any of you are interested in working with sound I can highly recommend a weekend workshop with Chris James that will also be at Dansdojon lasting from 18th of July to 20th of July. I´m in the staff during this workshop. You can find more information on this website:
www.chrisjames.net

You are welcome to contact me about any of these events by email or phone: (+47) 920 25 999. I live in Oslo and work as a full time Drum Circle Facilitator in corporates, institutions and schools. I would really love if any of you brothers and sisters in Sweden also would like this kind of drumming.

Best regards
Mikael Khei
